Dubbed "Canada's Andrew Lloyd Webber" by the CBC, Danny Schur is Winnipeg's most successful composer of musicals. Having made his name as a composer & producer (Chantal Kreviazuk, Doc Walker), Danny turned his sights on his true passion, original musical theatre. His musical The Bridge was Winnipeg's first full-scale original musical and Strike! is the explosive retelling of the 1919 Winnipeg General Strike. Danny and his Strike! co-writer, Rick Chafe, were recipients of the inaugural 2006 Kobzar Literary Award for Strike!'s portrayal of Ukrainian-Canadian themes.
